SONY X YOUNG CHUL KIM OFFICIAL PROMOTION VIDEO
Salt.Studio produced the official promotional video for Sony's new lens the FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM II which is soon to be released to market. In this video we capture photographer Youngchul Kim using the lens for his project "Wind & Light".

WIND & LIGHT
"My recent works led me to meditate on the concept of life and death and how that may take shape. It's ironic that life and death have very thin boundaries even though they are opposite concepts. And we who are alive, are not very thrilled about living. I thought about how to portray that thought and tried to solve it by my photos. I thought about using familiar themes like Wind and Light to convey those abstract thoughts.

I felt the power of the wind, the power of existence through sparkling lights. This project is to visualize such thoughts and experiences of my life."

이번에 Salt.Studio 는 Sony에 새롭게 출시되는 FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM II 의 공식 프로모션 영상을 기획 및 제작하였습니다이 영상에서는 사진작가 김영철이 Sony 렌즈를 사용해 프로젝트 “ Wind & Light” 작업을 하는 모습을 담았습니다.

WIND & LIGHT
최근 작업들에는 생명과 죽음의 모습에 대한 묵상을 담았다. 생명과 죽음은 정반대의 개념임에도 아주 얇은 경계를 가지고 있다는 것이 아이러니하며 살아있는 우리는 살아있는 것에 대한 감격이 크지 않다.

나는 그것을 어떻게 하면 낯설게 인식할 수 있을까 고민하고 작업으로 풀어내고자 했다. 바람과 빛이라는 익숙한 소재들을 추상적으로 제시하였다.

어디선가 불어오는 바람의 힘, 혹은 반짝이는 빛에서 존재의 생명력을 느꼈다.이번 프로젝트는 그런 요소들을 개인적인 경험과 해석에 비추어 비주얼화 하는 작업이다.
